Plant variety journal of June, 2010 has been published by plant variety authority .Total number of applications published are 110. Out of which 10 owned by private sector and the remaining 110 by public sector (Applicant as ICAR, State universities of Udaipur, Jabalpur, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Hisar, Orissa, Uttarakhand.

Ltd (1-Maize Hybrid ), Bisco Bio Science Pvt. Ltd (01-Maize Hybrid), Bayer Bioscience Pvt. Ltd. (01-pearl millet hybrid).

Any person may within three months from the date of advertisement of the application(s) give notice of opposition in writing to the registration of variety (as per Form PV-3 of the First Schedule of PPV&FR Rules, 2003). Oppositions, if any, to the registration must be submitted, in triplicate, to the Registrar, PPV&FRA, NASC Complex, DPS Marg, New Delhi -110 012 accompanied with the fee of Rs.1,500/- (Rupees One Thousand and Five Hundred Only) by way of Demand Draft drawn in favour of “The Registrar, PPV & FR Authority” payable at New Delhi.

According to the gazette notification following crops with their genera & species are open for registration as 1. Black pepper 2. Small cardamom 3. Indian mustard 4. Rape seed 5. Sunflower 6.Safflower 7.Castor 8.Sesame 9. Linseed 10 .Groundnut 11.Soybean

Earlier registration was open for the following crops namely 1.Black Gram 2.Bread Wheat 3.Cotton (Tetraploid) 4.Cotton (Diploid) 5.Chickpea 6.Field Pea 7.Green gram 8.Jute 9.Kidney bean 10.Lentil 11.Maize 12.Pearl Millet 13.Pigeon pea 14.Rice 15.Sorghum 16.Sugarcane 17.Turmeric 18.Ginger
